# Media Art Installation
Art plays an important role in recent decades, it provides a new platform for us to engage with social issues.
This project is a combination of Art and science, we used a database from twitter and interact it with processing & Arduino to create this artwork.

As a real-time based installation, this project aims to give surveillance in MTR’s service in a playful way. The balloons in different colors refer to each MTR lines, the balloon will be inflated when the system detects a “delay” in the corresponding lines.
​
We hope this project can bring a message to the MTR Company Ltd about how serious the delay problem is in Hong Kong MTRs. The inflating balloon is like our angry emotion accumulating with the delays, it will poop one day if they do not fix this problem.
Visual Drums - 2014
# Interative Installation Art
“Visual Drums” is an interactive drum set that connects the computer and the drums.

Visual effects from Processing are driven by the vibration and hitting of the drums. Using the light sensor that is attached to the drumstick, the white triangle in Processing changes its length according to the intensity of the drumstick that hits on the drum. Using the vibration sensor, it detects the varying vibrations that the drum produces when a person plays the drums. The vibrations are then detected by Processing and Arduino, which creates circles that vary in size according to the different intensities of the drum that produces.
